The Ringer is getting praised for the supporting performance of Brian Cox ,at least. Like I said the man is usually better than the stuff he appears in. I know I've already chosen "Aeon Flux" or "FLUX FUX UP" as the term is
chosen to be the last B.O. dog, but if 2005 seems to go out with a real
damnable whimper, then "The Ringer" should also be on the biggest hit
list ever. So far: 00% at RottenTomatoes.com! I mean, COME ON! Do you
believe the balls of the people and attorneys at Fox Searchlight?! They
actually gave the Special Olympics a credit for their "advice and input to
film their movie!?!"

Total B.S. hi everyone,

no matter how much money King Kong makes, it still scored very well critically and contains some amazing sights.  it is Roger Ebert's choice for the 8th best film of the year.  we don't just go by box office, do we?

in my opinion, Cheaper by the Dozen 2 will win of these five.  Aeon Flux, for all its faults, contains some interesting technical features.  Fun with Dick and Jane will have Jim Carey's wackiness to provide at least a few laughs.  The Producers may not have been the best possible adaptation of the musical, but it is far from terrible and has the bonus of good music and a good story, even if you don't like the way it was put onto film.  Admittedly, I don't know much about The Ringer.

Cheaper by the Dozen 2 will undoubtably continue the former's version of dumbing down the story used in the classic.  Steve Martin is a gifted comedic actor, but I don't think he will help this much.

In Response to GUEST, above: I would argue that the jury is still out on whether KING KONG will be seen as a "bomb" or not. True, it failed to open as big as expected, but $66 million isn't exactly monkey change, either. "Family Stone" was really pathetic. You would have to be stoned in order to sit through 90 minutes of Sarah Jessica Parker and Dermot Mulroney in this film.
