I saw the trailer for Campaign, and as I was doing so, I was thinking "Hmmm.... I guess something could work out of this." When it got to the part where Will Ferrell "accidentally" punched a baby, I was like "This is going to suck!" Seriously, inflicting pain on one-year-olds ("accidental" or not) --is this what comedy has come to?!?

I wouldn't call it a need. Why do you ask?
If we can masturbate them*, why not punch them? *THE HANGOVER, just in case. |

Because except for BurnHollywoodBurn, who's been gone for a long time, I
That was pushing things pretty far. The Hangover didn't get better reviews than it did because even for its genre and era, it was seen as gratuitous. Something as messed up as faking a sexual act by a baby is a prime example of this. |

Personally, I'm also against nominating "Someone & everyone/anyone else" because it's the same as "The entire cast", which is why I was mad at Nicolas Cage's nomination and surprised that you didn't do with Sandler what you did with Uwe Boll in '08/9. I only want it when it's really about awarding the lack of chemistry, which sometimes is the most important thing in a movie.
Sorry if I seem to try being hipster (or if I do seem hipster), but that wasn't funny because someone masturbating a baby is actually funny. It was funny how someone would be stupid enough to pretend to masturbate a baby and expect it to be funny.

Let me guess: you're suggesting giving Adam Sandler the Worst Career Achievement Award?
Well, if others who think that the Worst Couple category is all about chemistry and lack thereof want this category, they shouldn't be nominating a bunch of triples, quartets, and beyond. Frankly, I don't condone any cross-film multi-layered couples either.
There were many times where laughing at a stupid misconception is funny, but I wouldn't have gotten that impression from The Hangover. In fact, the only example I can think of off-hand that I liked was Cartman buying Scott Tenorman's pubes and Stan Marsh calling Cartman so ***-****** stupid it was unbelievable.
Well, if couples and their whacked-out nominations were the worst thing about recent RAZZIE categories, the second worst would be collective nominations for multiple people in the acting categories cutting into Worst Ensemble Cast's performance. At the very least, they should diversify things. Give Worst Ensemble Cast to one film, then give the 4 acting categories to actors and actresses in other films. oiram, I want your joint recommendation for What to Expect When You're Expecting for 5 actresses to be merged into a Worst Ensemble Cast nomination, unless you can provide a REAL **** convincing argument to the contrary!

Geez, HeadRazz. Clean out your message box so we can talk privately so I won't start a controversy.
RESPONSE from Head RAZZberry: Exactly where have you been sending me these supposed private "messages" -- I just checked, and my Forum In-Box and it says I have "ZERO NEW MESSAGES"...
Oh well, I'll put it out there anyways: HeadRazz, I've been thinking about Prometheus. Ya know, the "Alien prequel?" Well, I have look at many of the reviews around the webs, and found that there were alot of people that were disappointed by Prometheus, some even saying it was downright retarded and emotionless. Prometheus, however, earned 73% based on 250 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. That bit of news may make you think "Oh, so it cannot be a Razzie contender." However, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull earned 77% based on 253 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, and it still won Worst Sequel or Remake. Why? Because many people were let down by the movie, and you were obviously one of them since Indiana was NOT a write-in. Basically, I'm asking if Prometheus is this year's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Is it? Did you see it to make sure?

No, I meant Boll's nomination for Worst Screen Couple, which was him + any actor, camera or screenplay.
That happened to me as well. More than once.
Really? We're discussing about things we feel shouldn't have happen in the past Razzies, and you bring this up now? Although we've discussed it in the past, I'm not 100% against INDY 4's nomination because if it really dissapointed people enough to vote for it, maybe it deserved it. But even so, that wasn't enough to go against the good reviews, and more importantly, to put aside other contenders that were considered worse. That's the case now with so many bad movies, specially those that didn't get an official forum and we've asked to be considered anyway. By the way, I'm surprised you said that, since you were among us who said "Don't nominate JOHN CARTER".

Maybe it's some sort of glitch, but I swear, every time I send a private message to you on the forum, it always says the message has not been sent because the box is too full. So... You're not going to answer my question? I did not see Prometheus. Matter of fact, have not seen ANY Alien related movie as of yet. I saw John Carter and did not think it was really too bad, or at least not bad enough to be a WORST PICTURE nominee. Most people were just "Meh" about John Carter. I've seen many people really fighting themselves about wether Prometheus is good or not. Might be because of the hype Promethetus got?? I was just was simply wondering what HeadRazz thinks aboput Prometheus. I've heard the same complaints about "These scientists should have known not to go there." or "Why was Guy Pearce's character there?", so I wondered if HeadRazz felt the same way. RESPONSE from Head RAZZberry: No, I haven't yet seen PROMETHEUS, but will likely do so when it's out on DVD/On-Demand. Can't accurately answer you 'till then... P.S. I navigated to my actual "In-Box" for Private Messenger earlier today and discovered that, although I was never informed of the fact, the mailbox was at 100% capacity. I have since gone in and deleted much of what was there, and should now be able to once again receive notes from Forum Members... |

I predict Twilight Saga Breaking Wind (Part 2) will be crap, and will sweep the 33rd Annual Razzies. RESPONSE from Head RAZZberry: Travis112096, meet MiguelAntilsu I have a feeling you two will get along swimmingly... |

I just saw THE GREY. While I found it a bit over-rated, I don't think Liam Neeson ought to be nominated for it, even if he gets a nod for BATTLESHIP and/or WRATH OF THE TITANS.
RESPONSE from Head RAZZberry: Not to worry -- While BATTLESHIP is all but a shoo-in to be multiply nominated, WRATH OF THE TITANS is likely to be a long-shot (except as a contender for Worst Remake/Rip-Off/Sequel) and THE GREY isn't even on our radar... |

I doubt Neeson is gonna get nominated as Worst Actor for The Grey anyways, due to its good reviews.

Oiram: Those are incredibly petty complaints about PROMETHEUS, with easy explanations. 1.) They sent tracking devices before they got too far into the cave. Since they didn't show any signs of movement, they went in. 2.) Weyland, Pearce's character, thought that the Engineers would have a way to make him immortal. There are a couple of legimate complaints about the movie though (i.e. what were David's motivations?)...

I'll stop with the "New direct-to-DVD releases". Turns out a lot of movies are released on Blockbuster and then go to theatres. So it's pointless.
I wanted to show you all a trailer for this week's new release, but there isn't one with English subtitles (you can still look it up on YouTube if you wanna take a chance). It's called... wait for it... STEFAN VERSUS KRAMER. You see, Stefan Kramer is a comedian who makes impersonations. In his film debut, the celebrities (including our president) want to get back at him for making fun of them. Of course that he still portrays them here. I think it will be bad because: a)It was obviously conceived to cash in Kramer's success. b)He plays celebrities only Chileans know, so no one from another country will get it. That's the new release here, along with MY WEEK WITH MARILYN. What should I do? And for those who saw the trailer, does it look like Chile's answer to THE MASTER OF DISGUISE?

Perhaps for the first time in a hot, rather dreary summer, Denver and Colorado have made it through a week without being the lead story in the national news for a tragic reason. A young swimmer is giving the state a reason to smile and feel proud again over in London.
Two weeks have passed since the tragic events over in Aurora. Most of the funerals have been completed, the national media has moved on to other stories. Even the temporary truce between the two men vying to lead our nation for the next 4 years has been abandoned and the airwaves are once again littered by their annoying claims and counter claims. In the midst of all this, 9 people remain hospitalized around the Denver metro area as the result of wounds received on a terrible night so short of a time ago. Seven of them are listed in fair condition while 2 remain critical. I ask you tonight to keep them in your thoughts. But even as we continue to hold them in our minds and grieve for neighbors who will not continue on the journey with us, we move on as they would want us to. So I rejoin you tonight. So...what did I miss?

Even though August just started, I'm already planning Horror Movie Month 2. Here's the suggested titles so far: Alien: Resurrection, An American Werewolf In Paris (moviewizguy suggested this one on Twitter), Book Of Shadows: Blair Witch 2, Chernobyl Diaries, The Exorcist: The Beginning, FeardotCom (mwg suggestion), Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare, Halloween: Resurrection, Hellbound: Hellraiser II, The Hills Have Eyes 2 ('07 version), Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday, Jaws 3-D, Piranha 3DD (mwg suggestion), Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation, Troll, and Troll 2. The only definite movies are Alien, Blair Witch 2, The Exorcist, Freddy's Dead, Halloween, Hills Have Eyes 2, Jason Joes To Hell, Jaws 3-D, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and the Troll films. I'd like as many suggestions as possible.
