The sequel won't be in 3D.

Then I guess the next G.I. JOE movie will be in Hollywood's new favorite "cash grab" film format:  REBOOT!

Apparently, only Duke, Snake Eyes, and Storm Shadow will be back for the sequel. Considering that Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow were the only good things about the first one*, this could be better.

Of course, being better than G.I. Joe is like being taller than Warwick Davis.

*Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow were the best things about the cartoon as well.

Smart man! He'll probably be too busy starring in "Dark Knight Rises", you know, a movie with much better chances of being good.

F.U. DOPES(*/*****):

Spoilers ahead!

So what is the problem with this movie? The directing is made for '90s action movies. A lot of explosions are shot from 5 angles each, trying too hard to be apealing. It's not the worst...unlike the editing.

Meanwhile, the writing is made for '80s action movies. The plot is full of holes, the gadget names are meant to be cool (but they're not), and the characters are uninteresting, except for COMMANDER COBRA who can't go unnoticed because he talks like a cartoon (and we can hear him breathe like DARTH VADER).I wasn't expecting the best crafted script, but when we get scenes like her husband finding out the truth about THE BARONESS, which seemed like the writers have never experienced human interaction...well, it's too much.

There are OK moments, especially the ending. And during the Paris scenes, the action was actually thrilling and the effects more decent. But they didn't focus their efforts on what they should have. I would've exchanged all the action for things that matter, like all the points above. And the acting was just passable. 2009 was definately the year that almost killed the action genre, with so many movies putting good scripts aside.

Grades: F in the U.S. and 1,0 in Chile.

Oh yes, THAT one. Yeah, point taken.

No, he only directed the worst "must cash in on this 16 year old's 15 minutes of fame before it's too late" movie.

Now I'm afraid that he will make "GI Joe: The Musical"!

I just saw it and gave it 1/10(Could've been 0).Review coming soon.

I can't believe there'll be a sequel.At least they'll hire new people off screen.

Yes, but you seem to give high marks to movies just for being entertaining. Frankly, I think the last time you did a review I agreed with was "2012," when you gave 2 different grades, one for the movie as a whole, and one for how entertaining it was...

Oh wait, that was cvcjr!
The Four Horsemen of the Moviepocalypse: uncalled for sequels/remakes/reboots, 3-D surcharges, untalented "celebrities", and anything with Michael Bay's name attached to it.

Entertaining doesn't always equal good. For example, something so laughable can be entertaining. But I do know one thing: Entertaining can always equal to entertaining.

On another note, I'm surprised Joseph Gordon-Levitt didn't get nominated for Worst Supporting Actor. I truly thought he was horrible in the film. Also, I thought Sienna Miller was pretty good, one of the few people who gave a pretty convincing performance in the film.
