A ONE TWO RAZZIE PUNCH FOR BLONDE, MORBIUS AND TOM HANKS
WITH A K.O. FOR THE RAZZIES AS WELL!
WITH A K.O. FOR THE RAZZIES AS WELL!
Besides “wins” for the iconic actor, marvel character and bizarre biopic, the Razzies for the first time in their history, took a Razzie themselves. After their blunder of nominating someone who should not have been considered, the organization was put through the cyberworld blender. They publicly apologized to the actress, changed the rules for anyone under 18, rescinded the nomination and put themselves in her place on the ballot - which won by a landslide. Watch Razz Berry’s acceptance speech.
Tom Hanks, who’s spent his career stretching his acting capabilities to great success, went a bridge too far with his version of Col. Tom Parker in the otherwise excellent biopic, Elvis. This time he can add two Razzie statuettes for both Worst Supporting Actor and Worst screen Combo (Tom and his latex face) next to his well-deserved pair of Oscars.
Another “biopic,” the misogynistic, salacious and fallacious Blonde, which shamelessly exploits the memory of the late Marilyn Monroe, was named as both Worst Picture and Worst Screenplay (written by the film’s director Andrew Dominik.)
2014 Oscar winner Jared Leto, playing the title character alongside Adria Arjona, as his personal assistant, took Worst Actor and Worst Supporting Actress co-starring in the vacuous Marvel vampire movie Morbius.
Disney’s pointless, soulless “re-imagining” of Pinocchio was chosen Worst Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel.
Those two bud-puffing “best buds” who co-directed the stoner comedy Good Mourning were jointly chosen as Worst Director(s)
And the Redeemer Award, given to a former Razzie contender, who’s reclaimed their wings and emerged from Razzie hell, went to 2004 Worst Actor nominee (and 2022 Best Actor front-runner) Colin Farrell for his flawless work in Banshees of Inisherin. The other contenders were Mark Whalberg for Father Stu and Val Kilmer in Val the Netflix documentary.

43rd Razzie® Nominations
Blonde, Disney’s Pinocchio and Morbius Among Top Contenders
43rd Nominations Video
Leading the pack of cinematic mongrels with 8 nominations for the 43rd Annual Razzie® Awards is Blonde, which movie-goers liked even less than critics did. Called a “biopic that’s not a biopic,” by its makers, it “explores” the exploitation of Marilyn Monroe…by continuing to exploit her posthumously. In addition to Worst Picture, it’s up for Worst Screenplay and Worst Director, both by Andrew Dominik, whose work here says more about him than it does about his subject.
Copping 7 dings is Good Mourning, a laugh-free stoner comedy achieving the rare feat of scoring a perfect ZERO on Rotten Tomatoes. The year’s most ridiculed movie, Morbius (with Worst Actor nominee Jared Leto in the title role) collected five nods. Disney’s wholly unnecessary (and oddly creepy) live action/CGI remake of Pinocchio pulled our voters’ strings to make it into six categories. Taking the pole position for Worst Supporting Actor is 2022’s most widely derided performance, Tom Hanks’ latex-laden, ludicrously accented portrayal of Col. Tom Parker in the otherwise critically acclaimed Elvis.
A complete list of nominees is included below. The Official 43rd Razzie Nominations Video can be watched on the RazzieChannel.

Our Official Statement on Rescinding the Bruce Willis' 2021 Razzie® Award
We have made the decision to rescind the Razzie® Award given to Bruce Willis, due to his recently disclosed diagnosis.
If someone's medical condition is a factor in their decision making and/or their performance, we acknowledge that it is not appropriate to give them a Razzie.
As we recently mentioned in a Vulture Interview, extenuating circumstances also apply to Shelley Duvall in "The Shining." We have since discovered that Duvall's performance was impacted by Stanley Kubrick's treatment of her throughout the production. We would like to take this opportunity to rescind that nomination as well.
We have also added a clarification on our 42nd Razzie Winners Video.

NETFLIX’s DIANA: THE MUSICAL & SPACE JAM: A NEW LEGACY
NAB THE MOST SPRAY-PAINTED $4.97 GOLD STATUETTES
Forget the yachts! 2021 found billionaires escaping the woes of earth in their personal spaceships. Now, adding to the junk already “out there,” The 42nd Annual Razzie® Awards will be beamed from an International Goodwill Space Station to YouTube’s Razzie Channel.
Golden Raspberry Award members, spanning almost every continent and 49 U.S. States, except one of the Carolinas, have cast their votes. After streaming a record glut of eligible contenders, and shaking off their stupor, the results are in!
Using local talent, and keeping within our traditional budget, we’ve enlisted the help of aliens (who can legally work for zilch) to deliver the un-coveted $4.97 trophies to our eager recipients!
The bulk of the tacky, gold-spray-painted statuettes were “won” by two films. The NetFlix/streaming version of the year’s biggest Broadway bomb, Diana: The Musical “won” in five categories: Worst Picture (which critics said “makes Cats “Look like a masterpiece!”); Worst Actress (Jeanna deWaal as a twitterpated version of the Princess of Wales), Worst Supporting Actress (Judy Kaye in a dual role), Worst Director (Christopher Ashley) and Worst Screenplay (featuring some of the year’s most ridiculed dialogue and lyrics – Including rhyming “Camilla” with both “Manilla” and “Godzilla”).
Dribbling into second place with three “wins” was Space Jam: A New Legacy, more of a remake than a sequel, called out as a 115 minute commercial for all things WarnerMedia. Basketball phenom LeBron James was the MVP in both Worst Actor and Worst Screen Couple (along with all those cartoon co-stars and product plugs) while the film itself was chosen Worst Remake/Rip-Off or Sequel.
Other winners included Jared Leto (rhymes with “Gepetto”) for Supporting Actor, giving a controversial performance as “Paolo” in House of Gucci; 4-time past Razzie® “winner” Will Smith, praised for his performance in Oscar favorite King Richard and awarded as this year’s Razzie® Redeemer.
A complete list of this year’s “winners” is below.

42nd Razzie® Nominations:
Not Enough Space for This Junk!
While space was jammed in 2021 with the likes of Bezos, Elon and a telescope exploring escape routes, we simple Earthlings who did not “Look Up” remained glued to the Razzie crap streaming, beaming and steaming from our various screens and devices.
Here’s a look at what we saw … the excruciating musicals, thrill-free thriller rip-offs, and a nearly 2 hour product placement flick. In other words, 2021 did not fail the Razzies! As the ugly cousin to the Oscars, the Razzies duly follow in the footsteps of their more prestigious and dull counterpart’s rules and regulations. So, with the Academy guidelines allowing non-traditional releases to compete, guess what – so did we!
This year’s Worst Picture nominees include: The NetFLIX version of Broadway’s biggest bomb of the year, Diana the Musical (the stage version of which didn’t even last 40 performances); That multi-bajillion-dollar straight-to-streaming time travel turkey Infinite: The hopelessly on-the-nose/can’t-we-all-just-get-along melodrama Karen (whose title character makes Cruella seem like a nice neighbor); That 115 minute Time/Warner corporate sales reel posing as a family film, Space Jam: A New Legacy; And a lifeless, pointless “re-imagining” of a seminal Hitchcock classic, The Woman in the Window.
Acting nominees include an otherwise great actress, Amy Adams (with nods for both Woman in the Window and Dear Evan Hansen) and LeBron James, who most likely dunked his chances for basking in the cinema limelight by starring in Space Jam 2.
A complete list of nominations is included below and is also available online at Razzies.com. The Official 42nd Razzie Nominations Video can be watched at the RazzieChannel.
Voting Razzie Members (1,128 from 49 US States and over two dozen foreign countries) cast their 2021 ballots online, selecting five top contenders in each of nine categories. This year’s “Winners” will be unveiled on the now traditional date of “Oscar Eve,” Saturday, March 26th.

In a Year When Everything Sucked,
Everybody Gets a Little Something
from The 41st Annual Razzie® Awards,
Including a Governors’ Trophy for 2020 Itself!
ABSOLUTE PROOF, MUSIC, 365 DAYS, DOLITTLE
and RUDY GIULIANI ALL SCORE $4.97 STATUETTES
The world’s Worst Year Ever seems finally to be ending. But we can’t let it escape without being properly – and roundly – RAZZed. The Board of Governors of The Golden Raspberry Awards (both of them) determined that a special Razzie® Trophy giving a “Middle Finger Salute” to 2020 was in order. So, in addition to nine annual categories being awarded for 2020 “achievements,” there will also be a Governors’ Award acknowledging that way more than just the movies stank last year.
The nine categories voted online by sending Final Ballots to 1,097 Voting Razzie Members in all 50 states and about 25 foreign countries, included: Worst Picture, “won” by a faux documentary which reputedly cost only $25,000 to make, and lost its maker about $65 million in cancelled business. Both the top trophy and Worst Actor awards were taken by that “My Pillow Guy,” Mike Lindell for the two-hour, fake news snooze-fest Absolute Proof. One of Lindell’s co-conspirators in propagating The Big Lie also took two $4.97 statuettes. Rudy Giuliani’s unforgettable (inexplicable) hands-down-his-pants cameo as himself in Borat, Subsequent Movie-Film, nabbed him both Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Screen Combo (Giuliani and His Pants Zipper). Other “winners” included the trio of Sia as Worst Director, Kate Hudson as Worst Actress and Maddie Ziegler as Worst Supporting Actress for their parts in making one of the year’s most insensitive, non-sensical titles, the ill-conceived “Autism musical” Music. Worst Screenplay went to the Polish Fifty Shades of Grey knock-off 365 Days, and Worst Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel wound up going to the last Big Budget Bomb released to theatres before The Big Lockdown, Dolittle.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Entire World Would Agree: 2020 Deserves Its Own RAZZIE® - We’re Here to Deliver!
www.youtube.com/watch?v=7o5eKMdLMJI&t=3s
A global pandemic… A year full of panic… 365 Days of unrelenting bad news. As calendar years go, 2020 was begging to be given its own Razzie Award. And so it will be! Among the “honors” bestowed at April’s 41st Annual Golden Raspberry Awards will be a Special Governors’ Trophy to The Year 2020 as “The Worst Calendar Year EVER!”
Meanwhile, the regular Razzie categories, which have been around for four decades, will be given out as well. With new Academy guidelines allowing non-traditionally released titles to compete (and the Razzies following in their footsteps) this year’s Worst Picture nominees include: The first-ever foreign-film contender, 365 Days (a Polish remake/rip-off of past Razzie “winner” Fifty Shades of Grey); Absolute Proof (a fact-free “documentary” financed by The My Pillow Guy Mike Lindell, claiming the 2020 Election was “stolen” from 3-Time Razzie “Winner” Donald Trump); Dolittle (the last Big Budget Bomb theatrically released before The Worldwide Lock-Down); Fantasy Island (A “Re-Imagining” of the old TV series that skews closer to Twilight Zone than The Love Boat); and Sia’s directorial debut, the well-meaning but widely derided “Autism Musical,” Music. Acting nominees include both stars of 365 Days, Robert Downey Jr. for Dolittle, Adam Sandler for Hubie Halloween, Kate Hudson for Music and Rudy Giuliani (with two nominations – Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Screen Combo) for his creepy cameo as himself in Borat: Subsequent Movie-Film.
A complete list of nominations is included in this press release and is also viewable at Razzies.com. The Official 41st Razzie Nominations Video is available at RazzieChannel.
Voting Razzie Members (1,090 from all 50 US States and over two dozen foreign countries) cast their ballots online, each selecting their five top contenders in nine categories. This year’s “Winners” will be unveiled on the now traditional date of “Oscar Eve,” Saturday, April 24.

How Bad Did 2020 Suck? Bad Enough to Deserve a Special RAZZIE® Award!
41st Razzies to Include New Eligibility Rules and a Governors’ Award for
“Worst Calendar Year EVER!”
As 2020 fades into a nightmarish memory, there’s one organization, whose name is synonymous with bad and exists to call out the worst. The co-founders of The Golden Raspberry Awards concur that with all the disease, disappointment and disaster that plagued this last year, a Special Governors’ Award is in order. So, among the tacky trophies being handed out at the April 24 unveiling of their 41st Annual “Winners” will be a special Razzie® statuette saluting 2020 as “The Worst Calendar Year EVER!”
In keeping with a Hollywood tradition of more than 4 decades, this year’s Razzie schedule will mirror that of The Giving Out of the Little Gold Naked Men (aka The 93rd Annual Academy Awards): Razzie nomz will thus be announced in Mid-March, with final results unveiled on Oscar Eve (Saturday, April 24).
Also in keeping with this year’s altered Oscar rules, based on the altered reality we’ve all been forced to accept, the Razzie’s have changed their plans as well. Titles released direct to streaming platforms will, for the first time ever, be eligible for Razzie consideration. Among the potential Worst Picture contenders are: Dolittle (the last Big Budget Bomb theatrically released before The Covid Lockdown); Jackie Chan and Arnold Schwarzeneggar in Iron Mask (a mega-budget international production released to home theaters and given just as bad a rating from couch potatoes as from critics); and 365 Days (a Polish rip-off of Fifty Shades of Grey that holds a rare 0% Rotten Tomatoes rating, and was almost voted off Netflix by 100,000 petitioners worldwide begging it be removed.
Contenders and “winners” for The 41st Annual Razzies (aka “Oscar’s Ugly Cousin”) will be determined by e-mailing ballots to 1,099 Golden Raspberry Members from 49 U.S. states and about 27 foreign countries.
Now, if everyone’s ready…put your lips together and - BLOW!

THE AWARD SEASON IS OVER
AND THE “CATS LADY” HAS SUNG!
FELINE FILM FLOP CATS, JOHN TRAVOLTA,
HILARY DUFF and RAMBO ALL TURN OUT
TO BE THE RAZZIE® AWARDS’ “MEOW!”
On March 14, 2020 the Razzies had planned a really humongous show – complete with an opening parody number, sketches, a bonafide stage manager and "celebrity presenters" eventually to be beamed out to the entire world. But due to unforeseen circumstances – otherwise known as the Corona-Virus (currently referred to as #TrumpVirus) we instead did an intimate video, suitable for viewing by any audience forced to hunker down.
Volunteering to be the caboose on the 2020 Awards Season trophy train, The Golden Raspberry Awards revealed their 40th Annual Razzies “winners” in this video version speaking to the current worldwide health crisis, we've all had to deal with.
Topping the “winners” list was 2019’s most nominated title, Cats, which ended up with six awards in its litterbox: Worst Picture, Supporting Actor (James Corden) and Supporting Actress (Rebel Wilson) Screen Combo (Any Two Half-Feline/Half Human Hairballs) Worst Screenplay and Worst Director (Tom Hooper), The only other multiple Razzie “winner” was Rambo: Last Blood, which beat up the competition to grab Worst Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel and a special category brought back for 2019, Worst reckless Disregard for Human Life and Public Property. Top acting ACK-olades went to John Travolta in two critically filleted films, THE FANATIC and TRADING PAINT (which scored a literal “Zero” approval rating at Rotten Tomatoes) as Worst Actor, and Hilary Duff in the graphically violent (and dramatically specious) Haunting of Sharon Tate for Worst Actress. This year’s Razzie Redeemer statuette (honoring a past Razzie recipient who’s gone on to do better work) went to Eddie Murphy for Dolemite Is My Name. A complete breakdown of this year’s winners is included below.
Current Voting Razzie Members (1,107 from all 50 US States and about two dozen foreign countries) were eligible to cast ballots online, selecting “winners" in ten categories. This year's 11th category, the Razzie Redeemer Award, was voted separately.

Cats, Rambo, Madea Funeral Among
Biggest Clumps in 40th Razzie® Awards’ Litterbox
Voting members of The Golden Raspberry Awards have sifted through a bumper crop of cinematic crud and made their selections for 2019’s Worst Achievements in film.
Worst Picture nominees for The 40th Annual Razzies include the widely derided feline flop Cats, which drew four acting nods; Sylvester Stallone’s assaulting to the senses/insulting to the intelligence blood-drenched sequel, Rambo: Last Blood; and Tyler Perry’s 12th (and purportedly final) outing in a wig and a dress, A Medea Family Funeral. Also contending for Tinsel Town’s least coveted $4.97 statuette are John Travolta in two films (The Fanatic and Trading Paint) and several former Oscar winners: Anne Hathaway (nominated for The Hustle and Serenity) Matthew McConaughey (Hathaway’s backside-baring Serenity co-star) and Judi Dench (looking suspiciously similar to The Cowardly Lion from Wizard of Oz) in Cats.
A complete list of nominations is included in this press release.

THE VERDICT IS IN.
THE MYSTERY IS SOLVED.
THE PERPETRATORS HAVE BEEN AWARDED!
Asleep for 2018 batch of "winners" - click below!
THE 39TH RAZZIE NOMINATION RESULTS ARE IN!
WATCH THE RAZZIE REDEEMER AWARD NOMZ VIDEO - THEN VOTE!
We are opening up the Razzie Redeemer Award Category for public voting at GoldDerby.
An actress, an actor, a director, a franchise or a studio? This year’s Razzie Redeemer Award has five diverse contenders who redeemed themselves from Razzie-favorites to critic’s picks. We hope we might have had a tinge of influence in their progression.
Usually the Razzie Organizers choose the winner for this particular category, but the choices were so intriguing they wanted to open it up to public voting.
Here are the contenders for the 39th Razzie Redeemer Award:
Actress: Melissa McCarthy - who went from a multi-Razzie darling to a critically acclaimed Oscar Nominee for her out-of-caricature role in “Can You Ever Forgive Me?”
Actor: Tyler Perry - from a multi-Razzie nominee and winner for his self-imposed Madea trap to his role as Colin Powell in the Oscar and Golden Globe favorite - Vice.
Director: Peter Farrelly from Razzie Winner for one of the directors of Movie 43 and more shallow choices like “Dumb and Dumber” etc… to director and co-writer of the deeper humanistic story and heartfelt “Green Book.”
Franchise: From the Razzie targeted heap of metal Transformers to the more innocent and endearing 3 dimensional approach taken with Bumblebee.
Studio: Sony Animation Studio who brought you the crass multi-Razzie winner, Emoji Movie to the highly acclaimed Spider Man Into The Spider-Verse which was loved by critics and audiences alike.
